The second step is to purge and the third is to put it all away in a newly designed system set up by you and your harmonizer!! I started working with my mom and realized at that point that I had a love for all things administrative related and I found that no matter what job I had whether I was a customer service rep at a gas station or a hair stylist working from home, I was always so fascinated with the admin side. I did great with sales but I excelled with the paperwork and inventory and process making and best practice creating. I often found myself rearranging where I was working to make things run more efficiently. Many times I was called back by my temp clients because there front office wasn't running right again. I would help friends organize there spaces and create some harmony in their chaotic world. I always felt amazing for helping. I hit some rough times in my life, a divorce and homelessness. I was forced to adapt to all kinds of different environments fast. My daughter and I needed to be organized and efficient to utilize resources available like free showers and laundry services, education classes and work interviews. I met Joe, my husband now, in the middle of that chaos and got on board right away with my organizing ways (which we playfully joke around as an OCD thing because I am insanely obsessed with being organized) and together we have built a fantastic life for ourselves.
I have experience many life transitions and helped many friends and colleagues through many more. Some that I have experienced are new babies, blending families, marriage and divorce, moves next door, across town and across state lines. I have lived in huge 3000 sq ft houses and I have lived out of a backpack. We lived in apartments and condos that were rented, and some that we owned. We lived out of a truck and on friends couches. you get the point, there aren't too many situations I haven't been in myself so whether you are downsizing or upgrading, gaining new family members or loosing them, starting or ending school or a career, I have been there and I want to help you through these times! I have been blessed by my Heavenly Father with experience to preform amazing things in this industry. I do feel like I was born to organize and I want to help all of your create harmony in your home or business!!
Professional Organizer and Productivity Enhancer, CEO and Founder of Harmonizing Solutions.
I was born in and raised in IL. I made the move to Phoenix, AZ in 2017 with my husband Joe and my beautiful daughter KD, 13. I have two amazing boys back in Chicago and 7 (2 from previous marriage in Chicago and 5 in Michigan with the new marriage) step children!! My health was a severe problem and I wanted a better climate for my body and so we picked one of the hottest places in North America to go. It is fantastic!! It is here that I earned my Associates of Applied Science in Business Management and Accounting degree. After that, I worked a series of administrative jobs until it was time to make money for all the organizing I was doing for everyone else including my temp jobs. I struggle with chronic illness and pain and I have found harmony inside my body and home with routine and organization. I started Harmonizing Solutions on the principles that good habits and routines mixed with organized and efficient systems can provide a healthier environment. I immediately became members of NAPO (National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals) and IAPO (International Organization of Professional Organizers) and I currently have 5 specialist certificates: Residential Organizing, Household Management, Life Transitions, Workplace Productivity, and Team Productivity. I am constantly working on my education so that I stay informed with the lasted solutions, systems, and toys that are supposed to make our lives so much more less stressed out!
